On the occasion of his birthday today, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi gave a big gift to the country, which will directly benefit the needy and poor people. Actually, PM Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a government-funded scheme that aims to empower traditional artisans and craftsmen in India. The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17 September 2023, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti.
This incentive amount will be given:
Under the Vishwakarma scheme, a toolkit incitement of Rs 15,000 will be handed to the heirs. PM Narendra Modi also talked about this in his speech after launching the scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a new scheme named "PM Vishwakarma" on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti today i.e. on 17 September 2023 at around 11 am at the India International Convention and Expo Centre, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Successful applicants of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will be given training sessions and this will help in increasing employment prospects.

How to get the benefits of the scheme?
Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma will be fully funded by the central government with an outlay of Rs 13,000 crore. Under this scheme, free registration of Vishwakarma will be done through Common Service Centers using biometric-based PM Vishwakarma Portal. They will get PM Vishwakarma certificate and identity card, skill upgradation related to basic and advanced training, toolkit incentive of Rs 15,000, free loan of up to Rs 1 lakh (first installment) and Rs 2 lakh (second installment) with concessional interest. Five percent Recognition will be provided through assistance, incentives for digital transactions and marketing assistance.

What is PM Vishwakarma?
PM Vishwakarma is a project to support people with traditional skills. Under this scheme, loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be given on generous terms. Once this scheme is launched, around 30 lakh Vishwakarma families across the country can benefit.
This will focus on providing support to people engaged in traditional crafts. According to the government, this focus is driven not only by providing economic support to artisans and craftsmen but also by the desire to keep alive ancient heritage, culture and diverse heritage through local products, arts and crafts.
